The Company in 2023

Lisdoonvarna Fáilte CLG is a non-profit social enterprise that manages more than 80 acres of community-owned assets and facilities in the Lisdoonvarna area of North Clare. LF is governed by a voluntary Board of Directors under the 1978 scheme of the Lisdoonvarna and Rooska Spa wells Trust and Property and employs 23 Members of Staff supported by Pobal funding and Community Services Programmes. LF manages Cois Ceim Childcare Centre and community playground, the Pavilion Town Hall, the 50m by 35m floodlight Astro Turf and Community Pitch, the Spa Wells heritage complex and Twin wells area, the North Clare Community Park and Woodland trail. Lisdoonvarna Fáilte is committed to evolving, sustaining and enhancing an inclusive community with access to social, cultural, and recreational facilities for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities through best practice and governance, supporting local clubs and organisations for efficient facility use and economic benefits for North Clare. LF has facilitated extensive projects including the Heritage Town Plan and Design Guide, the Sustainable Energy Community Plan, the Biodiversity Town Plan, the Town Master Plan and the Pavilion Park Master Plan.LF has accomplished many achievements since 2006, including developing facilities with state investments such as * The Cois Ceim Childcare Facility at €1.2million * Community Playground at €230 thousand * Community Field at €340 thousand * Astro Turf at €240 thousand * Pavilion Hall & Two multipurpose changing rooms at €1.4 million * The Twin Wells at €200 thousand * Heritage Trail Phase 1 at €150 thousand * The Park Loop Walk, Lighting & Amphitheatre at €660 thousand Since 2008 Lisdoonvarna Fáilte has brought over €12 million into the local and North Clare economy and from 2014 reduced a community Clann Credo loan from €360,000 to €148,000. Future development of the facilities include: the refurbishment of the Astro pitch & LED Lighting at €170 thousand , A Multi Use Games Area at €230 thousand and the Playground Upgrade and Maintenance at €60 thousand investment. LF has received financial assistance from various organizations, including POBAL, Clare County Council, CLDC, Leader, Sports Capital, T & V renewal scheme, Department of Children, The Irish Red Cross, TOMAR Trust, and JP McManus.



This 450-seater hall provides state of the art audio visual equipment to facilitate events of all sizes including training workshops, stage productions and cinema nights. The Foyer and State of the Art Kitchen is also available to hire with a fully licensed bar facility.


Astro Turf Pitch. The 50m by 35m floodlight Astro Turf Pitch accommodates two 5 a-side pitches or one open area for larger groups. It is a multi-sport facility and is widely used by local clubs, organisations and hired privately for sport themed birthday parties.


The Cois Céim Childcare Centre provides quality early childhood care and offers a Creche, Pre-School, After-School and Summer Camps. Facilities include a secure outdoor play area and, a HAACP compliant kitchen where daily meals are freshly cooked.
